Alamo Real Estate
Buying or selling in Alamo with a Walnut Creek native and former real estate attorney.
Alamo is a small, unincorporated community between Walnut Creek and Danville, known for large lots, mature oaks and a quiet, semi-rural feel just minutes from I-680. Many homes sit on half an acre or more, and some properties have room for horses. Whether you're buying your first home or selling a family home of 30 years, I'll help you price it right and negotiate hard.
Alamo Neighborhoods
Round Hill: An established community built around the private Round Hill Country Club, with larger custom homes and golf course views.
Westside Alamo: Larger lots and custom homes west of I-680, in the foothills below Las Trampas.
Stone Valley: Family neighborhoods near Stone Valley Middle School and the Iron Horse Trail.
Alamo Oaks: Established ranch and custom homes among mature oaks on the east side of town.
Livorna: Hillside homes along Livorna Road with views across the valley toward Mount Diablo.
Central Alamo: Homes close to the shops and restaurants of Alamo Plaza along Danville Boulevard.
Schools
Alamo is served by the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Elementary schools in town include Alamo Elementary and Rancho Romero, and Stone Valley Middle School serves much of Alamo. High school students generally attend Monte Vista or San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, depending on the address. Boundaries follow addresses, not neighborhood names, so I confirm school assignments for every home my buyers consider.
Getting Around
Freeways: I-680 runs through Alamo, north to Walnut Creek and Highway 24 and south to San Ramon and I-580.
BART: The Walnut Creek station is a short drive north on I-680.
Open space: The Iron Horse Regional Trail runs through town, and Las Trampas Regional Wilderness and Mount Diablo State Park are close by.
