Lafayette Real Estate

Buying or selling in Lafayette with a broker who has sold luxury homes throughout Lamorinda.

Lafayette pairs a walkable downtown along Mount Diablo Boulevard with wooded hillside neighborhoods, highly rated schools and its own BART station. Homes range from mid-century ranches in Burton Valley to custom estates in Happy Valley. As co-founder of Branagh Realty, I sold new luxury homes throughout Lamorinda, including Lafayette. Whether you're buying your first home or selling a family home of 30 years, I'll help you price it right and negotiate hard.

Lafayette Neighborhoods

  • Happy Valley: Wooded lots and some of Lafayette's largest custom homes, north of downtown.

  • Burton Valley: Family neighborhood south of downtown with its own elementary school and access to the Lafayette-Moraga Trail.

  • Reliez Valley: Larger lots and quieter streets in north Lafayette, near Briones Regional Park.

  • Trail Neighborhood: Homes within walking distance of downtown, Lafayette Elementary and BART.

  • Acalanes Ridge: Hillside homes near the Walnut Creek border, many with views.

  • Springhill: Hillside neighborhood of larger homes and views in east Lafayette.

Schools

Lafayette is served by the Lafayette School District for kindergarten through 8th grade, including Stanley Middle School. Students go on to Acalanes High School in the Acalanes Union High School District. Boundaries follow addresses, not neighborhood names, so I confirm school assignments for every home my buyers consider.

Getting Around

  • BART: The Lafayette station sits downtown, with direct trains to Oakland and San Francisco.

  • Freeways: Highway 24 runs west through the Caldecott Tunnel and east to Walnut Creek and I-680.

  • Open space: The Lafayette Reservoir, the Lafayette-Moraga Regional Trail and Briones Regional Park are all close by.
