Walnut Creek Real Estate

Buying or selling in Walnut Creek with a broker who grew up here and practiced real estate law.

I'm a Walnut Creek native, and I've helped families buy and sell here since 2011. Walnut Creek offers what few East Bay cities combine: a real downtown, two BART stations, open space on every side, and neighborhoods ranging from downtown condos to acre lots in Northgate. Whether you're buying your first home or selling a family home of 30 years, I'll help you price it right and negotiate hard.

Walnut Creek Neighborhoods

  • Northgate: Larger lots and custom homes near Mount Diablo's foothills and Northgate High.

  • Walnut Heights: Established hillside neighborhood south of downtown with its own elementary school.

  • Parkmead: Mid-century ranch homes within reach of downtown and Highway 24.

  • Saranap: Tree-lined streets on the Lafayette border, popular with commuters.

  • Rancho San Miguel & Woodlands: Family neighborhoods near Shell Ridge and Lime Ridge open space.

  • Downtown: Condos, townhomes and older single-family homes walkable to Broadway Plaza and the Lesher Center for the Arts.

  • South Walnut Creek & Tice Valley: Quiet streets near Rossmoor and the Boundary Oak golf course.

  • Rossmoor: A gated 55+ community with golf, pools, fitness centers and its own clubs.

Schools

Most of central and southern Walnut Creek is served by the Walnut Creek School District for kindergarten through 8th grade, feeding into Las Lomas High School in the Acalanes Union High School District. Much of northern and eastern Walnut Creek, including Northgate, falls in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District and attends Northgate High School. Boundaries follow addresses, not neighborhood names, so I confirm school assignments for every home my buyers consider.

Getting Around

  • BART: Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre stations, with direct trains to San Francisco and Oakland.

  • Freeways: Highway 24 west through the Caldecott Tunnel, and I-680 north and south.

  • Open space: Shell Ridge, Lime Ridge and Mount Diablo State Park are minutes away.
